Founded by Kirk Pinner in 2021, Kirk wanted to create something different than the normal distilleries. Kirk made the decision to research and product develop, assess the ever-growing spirits industry, and search for a niche. He then aligned with highest of calibre and professional Tasmanian distilleries to manufacture the premium products he desired. Kirk wanted a nimble business which could focus on the consumer and create new and different spirits - creating Tasmania in a Bottle.  He wanted to collaborate with others as he believes business is served better when working together.

With qualifications spanning Tourism, Hospitality, Business, Events, Marketing, Sports Administration, Training & Assessing and Finance, Kirk set about using all of his skills and career experiences to create a 'lifestyle business'. A business focused on providing an exceptional customer experience, and unique spirits to suit.

Kirk is a previous Australian Institute of Management 'National Small Business Owner of the Year'; and the Institute of Managers and Leaders 'Tasmanian Entrepreneur of the Year'.

Kirk has now set Island Coast Spirits as a real difference in the industry, has grown the business from the ground up, and secured International and Australian Awards for their Spirits."
